This position reports directly to MLQ’s Marketing Director. The MLQ Advertising Coordinator is responsible for all MLQ’s advertising-related activities, including but not limited to paid search, paid social, broadcast media and print advertising. The MLQ Advertising Coordinator will be responsible for the lifecycle of MLQ advertising campaigns with a special focus on growing MLQ audiences and increasing revenue (especially MLQ Championship ticket sales).

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all advertising-related activities.
- Manage and maintain MLQ’s advertising budget.
- Coordinate with MLQ Finance Department for advertising’s billing-related items.
- Conceive, create, and proof MLQ advertising campaigns for various sources of media (internet, print, broadcast). You would be assisted by various members of the MLQ Creative team in these efforts.
- Participate in, understand, and apply the findings of traditional market research and testing to the digital advertising space.
- Work with the MLQ Social Media Manager to assess the success of campaigns during campaign flight and optimize/adjust accordingly.
- Participate in creative research and ideation, including comparable campaigns, cues, copy, and concepts.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Participation in designing or executing a marketing campaign (especially digital) required.
- Previously managed a budget.
- Proven success with an advertising/marketing campaign (and has the numbers to back it up).
- Understanding of performance KPIs preferred (example: click-through rate, engagement rate, ROAS/MER, impressions).
- Approximate work commitment 5 hours/week, but more if necessary.
- Strong working knowledge of digital and social media landscape with a clear understanding of the following:
- Platforms/Channels – understanding of the various digital platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and site-driven placements and the best practices for those platforms.
- Types of content – a working understanding of the different ad types used digitally.
- Tone/Voice – An understanding of how to extend the tone/voice established in traditional forms of creative advertising and carry over into the digital space.
- Knowledge of Google AdWords preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
