The MLQ Athlete Benefits Coordinator will lead the development, implementation and evolution of athlete benefits. They will research and implement programs and perks aimed at enhancing athlete engagement and drive athlete recognition via the creation of content. The MLQ Athlete Benefits Coordinator will report directly to the MLQ People Operations Director.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop, evolve and administer athlete recognition efforts including interviews, written features, highlights, etc. for MLQ social media.
• Create and evaluate metrics and performance benchmarks for recognition programs including evaluation against competitor organizations.
• Oversee the distribution of specialty items as part of celebrations and recognition.
• Manage a budget.
• Assist in the planning of event add-ons to enhance on-site athlete experience (e.g. dunk contests, shootouts, giveaways, etc.).
• Interface with athletes at events and inquire about offerings they would love to see.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience designing, implementing and/or managing reward, recognition, performance and/or motivational programs preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to cultivate and build relationships. Must be personable and approachable.
• Ability to exercise judgement and creativity.
• Ensures confidential information is maintained.
• Organized, detail-oriented, resourceful and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under varying deadlines.
• You know your way around technology and have a keen sense of sharing information across multiple departments. We use Google Apps and Slack.
