This position reports directly to MLQ Creative and Marketing Director Mike Iadevaia. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram. You will be responsible for assisting in the growth of MLQ’s social media presence through supporting, organizing, and facilitating success of the social media team. 

We are willing to train the right candidate. Motivated students are welcome to apply. We are also willing to sign volunteer hour sheets for honor societies and other organizations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage MLQ’s social media content calendar, including reviewing, posting, and scheduling content. 
  • Manage content assets. This will include working with the MLQ Creative Department to ensure each post has a corresponding, brand-compliant image and working with other areas of MLQ to ensure they have provided all necessary content for a post to go live.
  • Work with social media personnel to develop and manage an overarching social media plan and calendar.
  • Ensure MLQ is making the most of all social media opportunities.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Working knowledge of Google Apps, Slack, and Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and/or Twitter.
  • Approximate work commitment is 5-10 hours/week, but more if necessary.
  • Strong communication skills. You’ll need to follow up with multiple parties to inquire about status of items.
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines.

  • Stays cool in an emergency.
  • Attention to detail.
