MLQ is excited to announce MLQ Worlds Weekend on July 25-26, following the 2020 IQA World Cup.
MLQ Worlds Weekend will kick off on Saturday, July 25 with the MLQ Worlds Skills Event. The event will consist of a series of skills workshops and challenges (with prizes!) and quidditch seminars, leading up to a night of quidditch under the lights as the New York Titans host the Boston Night Riders in a best of three MLQ series. Last season, the Titans finally took a game off their cross-division rivals and look to once again be a formidable opponent for the reigning MLQ Champion, the Night Riders. Tickets for the series will be available early 2020.
On Sunday, athletes from around the globe are invited to participate in an international fantasy tournament in New York City–with a twist. Tournament general managers will be pairs of athletes: one from the U.S. and one from another country. You can sign up together or solo via this form. Solo signups will be paired at random. After general managers are announced on June 16, a draft date will be set. The pairs will participate in a snake-style draft to select a team that will help them bring home the international title.
In order to participate in the skills workshops and/or the fantasy tournament, you will need to fill out this form and purchase a ticket. Programming is open to players of all skill levels, and attendees are welcome to participate in one or both of the events. Those that sign up for both will receive a discounted rate.
Plan to attend MLQ Worlds Weekends, but would rather volunteer, referee or snitch than participate? Sign up here. If you have additional questions, email [email protected].
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to play, learn and grow with athletes from around the globe!
