Opening day for the 2020 MLQ season is now scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 20. The 2020 MLQ Championship has moved to Aug. 22-23 in Howard County, Md. MLQ Worlds Weekend remains scheduled for July 25-26.

Dates for six series have been rescheduled, however, the original host locations remain the same. Games have been added to the weekend of the IQA World Cup with the expectation of reduced roster sizes. However, we felt this was the best path forward due to the July 4 holiday and the overall condensement of the regular season schedule. See the fully-updated schedule below.

In-person tryouts have been canceled. Athletes interested in playing for an MLQ team will need to fill out the MLQ Athlete Tryout Registration and submit the required video footage for their desired team. In the event an athlete does not have the required film, they can contact their team of choice and franchise leadership will work with said athlete to create an alternative solution. Teams may also add a digital interview to the process, amongst other previously unlisted requirements. Updated processes for each team will be listed on their individual MLQ tryout page by the end of next week.

Teams are now required to submit their 25-30 person roster by May 10. The original date was May 3. Should a team choose to hold one to five spots for further considerations, those final athlete names will be due to the league on June 3.

The MLQ director team is actively following updates by governmental health and travel agencies in Canada and the U.S. and has been consulting an internal contingency plan as things progress day-to-day.
