Nick Finn will serve as the new MLQ Marketing Director, effective immediately.
Finn’s introduction to MLQ came during the 2016 season when he designed the team logos for the San Francisco Argonauts and the Los Angeles Guardians and consulted on other MLQ logos. While Finn has never played on a quidditch team, he is no stranger to sports marketing.
Finn’s experience in contemporary branding for start-up companies makes him a great fit for the MLQ Marketing Director position. Finn worked for Bar Down Podcast, Inc. where he was responsible for the design and marketing for the entire brand identity of the podcast. He also managed the company’s social media accounts and its interactions with special guests and fans.
“Having been highly recommended by another MLQ volunteer, I was very excited to see Finn’s application come through. He has done some fantastic work for AFC Ann Arbor’s social media and advertisements and was a pleasure to work with last season,” said MLQ Commissioner Amanda Dallas. “I have no doubt Finn is everything we are seeking in this role and will take the league’s marketing to new heights.”
In accepting this new role, Finn said he is ready to continue the professionalism and performance that the MLQ Marketing Department has shown over the past two years.
“I’m very excited to join the team at MLQ and look forward to helping grow the sport. I can’t wait to start preparations for the upcoming MLQ season and championship,” Finn said. “Growing the championship event and the league as a whole is a major focus this year, and I’m sure that with the incredible team around me, it can be done.”
